Guayusa (gwhy-you-sa) is a descendant of the Holly genus and is the mightier cousin of the more commonly known Yerba Mate.  Guayusa is native to the upper Amazon Rainforest regions of Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia, though it is primarily cultivated in Ecuador.  For centuries indigenous people have enjoyed Guayusa to energize, restore youthful vitality, and enhance mental clarity.
